Refugees encounter a significant knowledge gap when relocating to a new country, dealing with challenges such as unfamiliar laws, language barriers, and cultural differences. HRSA strives to offer a clear and genuine mentorship experience to help individuals navigate these difficulties.

ABOUT US

HRSA connects Hispanic refugees in the United States with mentors to help them navigate everyday tasks that many of us take for granted. Understanding how to apply for a job, read various forms and applications, and simply find their way into a new environment can be challenging for anyone.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDERS

As a first-generation immigrant, I have personally witnessed the challenges my family undertook as they navigated moving to a new county. They were helped by people who cared which made all the difference. I founded this organization to help bridge the gap between Hispanic and American cultures, ensuring that others don't have to face these challenges alone.

-Carlos Rohm

The word “refugee” is flippantly used to categorize so many unique and highly nuanced experiences. Coming from a family of immigrants, I’ve seen first-hand how difficult it is to adjust to a foreign environment. Providing a community for people who were dislocated from the place they call home is at the core of our work. We strive to expand our support and reach as many people as possible.
